First the Giants, then the Cubs, and now the Red Sox. But let us remember the heart and soul of the project are still the over 10,000 videos created by ordinary LGBT adults—people you haven't heard of—telling their stories, offering advice, sharing their coping strategies, and, in the comments threads and via their YouTube accounts, offering many LGBT kids something they've never had before: the ear of a sympathetic adult who understands exactly what they're going through.

San Francisco Giants become first professional sports team to join the It Gets Better Project

Last month thousands of Giants fans joined Sean Chapin in asking asking the Giants to make an It Gets Better video. The baseball team was already planning on making a video, expedited their production and on the first day of LGBT Pride Month became the first professional sports team to tell LGBT youth that "It Gets Better."

This week we asked you to meet our goal of donating 1,000 It Gets Better books to schools and libraries. In a matter of hours hundreds of donations came in and now we're proud to report 1,127 books have been donated to date. Check out this nifty map of where your books are headed.
