Happy Medium Theatre's IT GETS BETTER CAMPAIGN

Good Grief! Have you ever wondered what happened to the gang of kids from Peanuts? The award-winning Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead by Bert V. Royal is an irreverent and poignant unauthorized parody in which the beloved comic strip characters are re-imagined a decade later as hormonal teenagers with serious issues. Pigpen (Matt) is a jock. Sally's gone goth. Schroeder (Beethoven) is a fragile outcast. Peppermint Patty (Tricia) and Marcy rule the school with a "Mean Girls" mentality. Linus (Van) smoked his blanket. And CB's beloved dog has died, causing CB to question the existence of an afterlife. But a chance meeting with an artistic kid -- the target of bullying -- offers CB peace of mind and sets in motion a friendship that will push teen angst to the very limits. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion and sexual identity collide and careen toward an ending that's both haunting and hopeful.
