My contribution to the It Gets Better campaign. LGBT youth that are having any thoughts of suicide, please call the Trevor Project, which is a toll-free 24 hour suicide intervention hotline for questioning LGBT of all ages. You are not alone, there is support out there in the least likely of places. The challenge is to find it. The number is 866-488-7386. There are many people out there who will not stand for any sort of overtly (covertly) homophobic behavior. I am one of them. If you know any teens who are struggling with depression, bullying, or any sort of conflict related to sexual orientation...I encourage you to reach out to them and let them know you support them 100%. Let them know that you are more than willing to lend an ear to hear them out. It will mean the world to them and it may save a life. I know not all Christians are homophobic. My point in addressing "Christians" in the video was to address hypocrites that use their religion as a shield or excuse to harass and bully people who do not fit neatly into their little box of what is "normal." Thank you Dan Savage for beginning this phenomenal campaign to fight against teen bullying and suicide of our nation's youth.
